My journey into birth photography didn't actually begin in the delivery room when my daughter was born. It started shortly after I moved to the United States from Poland at the age of 19. With limited English skills and few friends to practice conversation with, I turned to television and radio. It was then that I discovered the TLC channel and became instantly drawn to the Baby Story series. This show followed expecting couples until the moment of delivery, and I was captivated by the storytelling and the openness of the families sharing their experiences. I eagerly awaited each episode, often finding myself moved to tears.
Fast forward 16 years later, after experiencing some infertility and pregnancy losses, I became pregnant again and anxiously awaited the arrival of our baby. Birth photography wasn't a popular concept back then, so hiring a birth photographer didn't even cross my mind. Just before I began pushing, on a whim, I handed our doula my point-and-shoot camera and asked her to document the birth of our first child. The photos she took hold an indescribable value to me, and I treasure them dearly. They capture the best day of my life and the beginning of my daughter's.
As I looked through those pictures repeatedly, I couldn't shake the thought of why anyone wouldn't want such precious memories from the birth of their child. It took me some time, but months later, I finally gathered the courage to talk to my doula about birth photography. I asked if her clients ever mentioned it and if she thought it was worth pursuing. This conversation marked the true beginning of our partnership, and thanks to her support, I secured my first two clients. I will forever be grateful to Anna for collaborating with me and promoting my business to her clients.

Every time a family asks me to document the birth of their child, I feel incredibly honored. It's a truly magical time, and once the pushing is over and they place the little one on the mother's chest, it feels as if time stands still. All that remains is pure joy, excitement, and love. I live for those moments and consider it a blessing to photograph the arrival of a new soul into this world and witness the beautiful connection between parents and their child.

My passion for birth grew stronger with each birth I had the privilege to photograph. This led me to pursue doula training, with the desire to provide even greater support to my birth clients. Currently, I am in the final stages of completing my doula training with Cornerstone. As I continue this journey, I am excited to announce that I am now accepting new clients at a reduced fee.
